Turnall has gone through milestones of success in its history, it is indeed our pride that we are a systems oriented organisation. September 20 –23 marked a time of testing, reviewing and correcting our selves as the SABS Audit Team carried out the audit. All employees were keen to get an evaluation of their performance with regards to maintaining the standards.
The audit was a unique one because it was the first time in the history of the company to have three systems running and being audited at the same time. It called for every member of the team to think, talk, walk and work the systems language and culture.
I can confidently say we are and remain the forerunner of systems in the country if not in the region. To confirm this fact, in our closing meeting the EMS Auditor even remarked that, “ I must say we were very impressed to realize that your shopfloor workers even know the legal requirements expected of them and the company. This is amazing because in most of the companies we have audited you don’t find that kind of awareness.”
The findings raised were as follows:

A very neat system for capturing NCR’s is in use and well administrated. It was noted that the serial numbers of the NCR’s are not used for reference and also does not appear on the register, this could simplify tracking of findings. |

Such a good performance can be attributed to good leadership, clear corporate values, objectives, targets and most importantly a family kind of relationship between management and staff.
It’s great to be part of such an excellent team.
